Golf From the Inside-Out
Training Theory
Success in the game of golf requires a lot more fitness than the average player is prepared for or even acknowledges. The stress of walking the course, pulling or carrying a bag, transversing the inclines/declines of the course and excuting 70 - 100 swings can prove to be physically stressful. To truely improve performance a golfer should ask what steps can they take to improving their potential...We suggest addressing their physical deficiencies! |

The Challenge
For the player looking to commit to a training program, the critical questions is what to do and how to start. We suggest that if you are looking to put it all together you must start at the center. All human movement including the golf swing, is anchored at and initiated from the core of the body. Deficient core strength and control can be a fundamental reason for performance deficits and a catalyst in the devlopment of injuries.
Keys To The Program:MBS
Mobility: You can not experience control of movement without first addressing flexibility of each joint separately and collectively.
Balance: The ability to maintain one's postural alignment is essential to accomplish any movement pattern.
Stability: Anchoring exercises are designed to build fundamental relationships with each joint and its related muscles. In the golf swing, the greater the muscles' ability to work separately the greater the body's ability to maintain correct alignment throughout the performance.
The Five Step Program
The exercises within this program have been developed to help teach golfers how to essentially evaluate and train their own ability to dynamically stabilize their center through a golf swing. Each exercise is a progression from easy to difficult. This exercise program is not designed to teach an individual how to play golf golf but how to train the specific fundamental movement for the sport.
This program will help each golfers learn how to:
STEP 1: Engaging their Abdominals - Find their Center
STEP 2: Shift Weight
STEP 3: Locking their Back Hip
STEP 4: Quieting The Legs
STEP 5: Putting IT All Together!
